Position Overview
We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and dedicated Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide individualized care and support in a home setting. The DSP will work directly with our resident to promote independence, personal growth, and overall well-being while ensuring a safe and nurturing environment. Located in Paw Paw, MI offering Part-Time and Full-Time positions.
What You'll Do

Provide 1:1 support with daily living activities, including personal care, hygiene, meal preparation, and household tasks.

Maintain a safe, structured, and consistent environment.

Encourage independence and participation in community activities.

Support behavioral goals using positive and respectful strategies.

Observe, document, and report changes in health, behavior, or needs.

Assist with medical appointments, medication administration, and adherence to health plans as needed.

Foster dignity, respect, and quality of life for the individual.

Collaborate with family, healthcare providers, and other team members to ensure continuity of care.
Shift Options
Evening, weekend, and overnight shifts are available. Overnight responsibilities include staying awake to ensure safety, assisting with night wakings, completing household tasks, and maintaining a structured, calm environment.
Qualifications

Must be 18 or older.

Experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.

Ability to provide compassionate, patient, and person-centered care.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Ability to follow structured routines and safety protocols.

Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation preferred.

Certification in CPR/First Aid preferred.
Pay
-
$15-$20 per hour, based on experience.
